Strawberry Buttermilk Scones

Not hungry? Opt-out

Hi Reader,

Strawberry season is here, so let’s make strawberry scones! I roast the strawberries to deepen their flavor, and release some of the liquid before going into the scone dough.

Like most scones, these are not overly sweet — just enough. I do like adding a glaze for a little extra touch of color and sweetness, though. Plus, it just looks pretty.

They’re tender, lightly sweet, and perfect with coffee or tea. Perfect for Spring!

If you’ve got fresh strawberries on your counter, this is a great way to use them.

Happy spring!
